With an undergraduate program rank tied with Cornell and admissions selectivity ranked with Columbia, according to US News, you know you'll be getting a top-notch education. For those who have a flair for politics but don't want to head over to Washington D.C.: note that Washington University has been selected to host a presidential or vice presidential debate every election since 1992, including for the upcoming 2008 election.

Contrary to popular belief, the social life at Wash. U. is fantastic, and there is always something to do. The main nights to go out are Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. (Wednesdays used to be popular at the Sammy house, but they have recently been kicked out of their house for drug related reasons). As a freshman, Tuesday nights are spent at the ZBT house, a weekly event known as ZBTuesdays. For the upperclassmen, and obviously the underclassmen with fake IDs, Tuesdays are spent at a local bar called Duffy's. As long as you get there early, there is no reason to worry about having a good ID. Thursdays have become a very popular night among students. One of the most popular spots in St. Louis is Morgan Street/ Laclede's Landing. Unfortunately, this area has been cracking down on fake IDs, so only really go if you are confident in your ID. Thursday night is another popular night at Duffy's, because it is trivia night (always a blast). This leaves us with Friday and Saturday, two nights when anything can happen. Dorm parties, frat parties, and off campus parties are all popular, and students will often spend the nights party hopping, going from one place to the other. Wash. U. students like to drink and have a good time. What's impressive, though, is that we are able to go out and party hard, but also work hard when need be.

One of the nicest campuses in the country.

Being close to a major city like Philadelphia has made West Chester University of Pennsylvania one of the more diverse schools in this country. Students tend to relate to each other not by race or class but by common interests. They also created the Institute for Women, an independent body designed to represent the interests of women on the campus. This Proves once again how progressive this university is. There is no doubt that these students will come away with more than just an education, but a lasting experience.

90% of the population at WVU is White, but it doesn't mean those who aren't won't fit in or are singled out. In fact, "only two colors matter at WVU--gold and blue." School spirit definitely takes precedence over everything else, their football program is one of the best in the country, but make no mistake the academics here are top-notch so be ready to hit the books. There's definitely a party scene here but there are plenty of other activities to keep you sober but entertained, whether it be bowling in the Student Union or catching a free flick.

Hottest girls, best parties, period.

No one tailgates harder than the Mountaineers. Football games make Saturday the best place in the nation.

These guys really do know how to party. It might get cold but the girls are hot and the parties don't stop.

I've been at WVU for 2 years now and can't be happier. The Greek Life is as good as anywhere I've been. And all the students love to have a good time.
Komurosan (August 31, 2009)
Frat parties are AWEOSOME HEREEEE

Though the school isn't particularly outstanding in any one thing, students are completely hooked by what they call "The Western Spirit." This Spirit lingers in the air and students experience a very deep, intangible love and loyalty for WKU. Perched on a hill, the school boasts both beautiful architecture and beautiful scenery. With visions to initiate productive societal change it makes perfect sense why service oriented careers, like nursing and teaching, are the most popular degree programs.

There is no need for a Greek scene or a fake ID here with the Canadian border only minutes from campus. Cost of living is beyond affordable and students aren't very concerned with style. There is a definite hippy vibe so as long as you don't take yourself too seriously everyone just loves everyone. Students take an interest in political issues, worship the outdoors, and care about getting decent grades. With popular degrees in teaching, psych, and one of the strongest journalism programs in the Northwest, Western definitely holds its own.

Featuring the most diverse student body in Kansas, you'll be sure to find a niche to fit in here. With NCAA Division I sports and a wicked basketball team, you'll keep your schedule packed with games and other activities and really get into the spirit. Wichita State is also the only metropolitan state university in Kansas, so you can get the traditional college atmosphere but have the resources of the state's largest city. Also offering the three largest annual undergrad scholarships in Kansas, what more can you ask for than Wichita State?

The student body of Wofford College is career minded and ambitious. The college is not particularly strict. Though a bit unusual, it works well because the students want to get the most they can out of their collegiate experience. All colleges have types. The predominant type on this campus would be "preppy". They also have programs that promote diversity and that is the most important thing.
