University of South Florida COMMENTS

Even though almost everyone comes from in-state, somehow USF has one of the most diverse student bodies in the country. With such an impressive mixing pot of cultures, ages, and values, students are able to socially expand their knowledge of others and ask self-critiquing questions as well. From comic books to surfing to Frisbee to golf, with over 500 different clubs there is something for everyone. Although the academics aren't particularly strong for you aspiring geniuses, people can get top-notch partying experience.

We now have ICEE products available in the Marshall Center Food Court at USF. I tried them today and of three drink choices, two were slow to vend and difficult to get out of the machine. Once I finally had a full cup I found it too be way too airy, not enough liquid taste to it. I got some more and then once I paid and went upstairs to enjoy it. The ICEE was super solid, barely anything came out. So now I am scooping the drink out and hurting my teeth with cold flavored ice because once this drink it will taste horrible. Yay.

I have been taking Japanese I at the University of South Florida. It's exciting for me because I want to study abroad there someday. The teacher I have is quirky and makes learning interesting. All the students have a drive to learn it which also makes the class easier to be in. Here are a few basic phrases that I have learned so far: ???? Ohayoo Good Morning ?????Konnichiwa Good Afternoon ?????Konbanwa Goodnight ??????Sumimasen Excuse Me ??????Arigatou Thank You I try and practice whenever possible so I will retain the information. People around school see me walking around with my Japanese book and get all excited, asking me if I like it and what it is like. If only I enjoyed Microeconomics and Financial Accounting like this...
The Prudent Student (October 7, 2009)
Some people say going to college makes you lose weight, but I think anyone going to school in Florida, especially the Tampa Bay area, losses weight during school instead of gaining weight. Walking from class to class in humid weather that feels like one hundred degrees means you are going to lose weight no matter what and the worst of the worst is when it is humid and pouring rain at the same time and you have to walk across and entire USF campus to make it to your next class in fifteen minutes. So although college students do eat the worst out of anyone I know, they are healthy in some ways whether it is their choice or not. Every year it feels hotter and hotter too, I don't know if there is global warming, but something is certainly making things heat up here.

It was an epic day for students of the University of South Florida. After all the smack talk and all kinds of officials declaring that FSU would in fact beat USF, USF pulled victorious at Saturday's football game with a final score of 17 Bulls-7 Seminoles. USF students cheered as the FSU fans poured out of the stadium disappointed and USF Bulls happily left with their victory from Tallahassee. Anyone who was there, could feel the intensity as USF fans hoped for a victory and were finally given it that day. BJ Daniels being the name you heard chanted as he brought home the win for USF that day.
