Emory University COMMENTS
CCTV
Here you can get the small liberal artsy feel but live minutes from all that's happening in downtown Atlanta. It's cozy and pretty homogenous: mostly upper middle class and Jewish. Though costs may be steep at 44k a year, students receive lot of personal attention with established faculty members- no TA's or adjuncts (like most universities). With several fortune 500 companies right next door most students gain valuable internship experience and build strong networks that can give them an edge in the job market.
The Prudent Student (October 7, 2009)
Pre-Med at Emory is not a major, but a set of classes that you are required to take for medical school At emory if you have ap chem credit, you can take organic chemistry your freshman year. if not, you have to take general chemistry and organic chemistry. The latter option is what most people do. In addition, you have to take 2 semesters of introductory biology, 2 semesters of physics, a calc class, and a year of english. Being pre-med is hard but it is fulfilling in the long run. Biology tends to be the weed-out class for emory, as many students decide not to be premed. Most of the kids at emory are either pre-medicine or pre-business. Being pre-med myself, i find it hard to have that much free-time during the week.. but if you can manage your time well, it is very easy to maintain a constant social life. It is not taboo to stay in on a weekend and do work, but the library closes friday and saturday nights to promote kids going out If you're coming to emory, be prepared to work, but also be prepared to go out and have a good time

I really want to go to Emory for Business. I didn't know it was ranked so high.
