Visit once and you'll want to stay. Not only are the beautiful facilities nestled within a gorgeous landscape, but even the people are attractive and stylish. It's true that most students actually grew up with trees bearing cash fruit in their yard and thus don't understand financial strain, but it fits right in with LA's glamour. Because it is a small school a more obscure major isn't an option, but you will never lack for personal attention. Being well-known is a plus, but attendance is mandatory so think twice before you decide to sleep through that 8:30.
The Prudent Student (October 7, 2009)
Princeton Review has named Loyola Marymount University one of the most beautiful colleges in the country and we have the videos to prove it!
LMU, situated on a scenic bluff with stunning views of Los Angeles, was ranked 16th in the 2009 edition of "The Best 368 Colleges."
"Our campus is located in Westchester, a friendly, residential neighborhood that is removed from the hustle and bustle of Los Angeles, yet it offers easy access to all the richness of our most cosmopolitan environment. Our students enjoy the ocean and mountain vistas as well as the moderate climate and crisp breezes characteristic of a coastal location."
- Matt Fissinger, director of undergraduate admission
