In the largest campus of the four university centers in the SUNY system, you'll be sure to find tons of resources and a diverse mix of students and find a niche to fit in. On the flip side, such a large population means large classes that make it easy to not show up, so although it's an affordable school you'll be throwing money away with your education. Yeah, the temptation of the beautiful lake and bike path on campus during large lectures will be hard to resist, but it'll be all that more rewarding later.
